Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Laredo will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Texas usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
Hours are published for 1 day a week. The most common schedule is 4β10 PM. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (956) 722-1701. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, laposada.com.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 109 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Laredo is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Laredo peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Bartender looked just like Poison Ivy from Batman. Her drinks made the dining experience. Daniel was a real professional. Valet was made thngs easier.

Overall, underwhelming experience and lackluster execution of every entree and side dish (especially for the price point) The food can best be described as "okay" as it was not better than food from a national diner or chain restaurant, which is a shame since it's priced as a high end restaurant. The $28 lobster spinach dip was a good starter and came out fairly quickly. It was creamy and topped with a decent amount of flavorful diced lobster pieces. We then waited over 30 minutes for our meals. The $40 Low & Slow short rib entree was cold as though it was sitting out awhile. The server replaced it, which took about 12 minutes. Flavor wise, it reminded me of pot roast with a salty brown mushroom gravy. Though it was very tender and the plate looked impressive served with the large rib bone, it was half fat and gristle. The $28 iron chop entree was a very basic pork chop plate served with whipped potatoes. It was served warm, but the potatoes were cold. The chops were lean and semi-tender. The $15 smoked three cheese au gratin, which was highly recommended by the server, was over-baked and dry. It became gummy and a mouth drying paste when chewed. Very disappointing. The $15 derby

This weekend, I was thrilled to attend the Tack Room's soft reopening and get a sneak peek at their new menu. Thanks to Karina and Ruben for inviting me. The food and cocktails were incredible! Special shoutout to Brandyn, Anisse, Monico, Lyndsey, and the entire staff for making it a fantastic experience. The Tack Room is tentative to reopen this coming Friday, donβt miss the Slow & Low Short Rib - that alone is worth the trip! Mucho exito!

They gave me a half inch thick $40 steak, in a styrofoam container that I canβt cut it in. Even the cheaper restaurant here served my to go meal on a plate last night, but spend almost $80 and no plate. The rest looks okay, just lack luster for what I spent here. Next time Iβll stick to the $20 Kobe cheeseburger, which is all you should spend here. Just tried that $40 steak I had cooked medium rare, chewy trash. Donβt waste your money, unless you just like to waste money.

Well, here it goes. The bread and the service from the waitress (Amber) were the best part of the meal. I ordered the βSpecialβ 14-16oz New York strip medium rare Pittsburgh! What I got was an over cook not Pittsburgh breakfast stake 10oz (Flavorless) that could be served at Dennyβs for the steak and eggs plate. It comes on a vegetable medley (over cooked and rubbery) in addition, the mushrooms are packaged precut/sliced and way over cooked. I hate to say it but I have had a better steak at Loganβs here in Laredo. This could be a great place if they had a chef that trained his/her folks how to cook the items on the menu.
